I made this draw on march, but I'm posting it just now because it was a gift for a friend of mine, or at least it was made to be...
The kanji written on her nape means "winter", and all the flowers near to her blows always on the winter. This is because the life of a samurai of feudal times was proverbially compared to the short-lived cherry-blossoms, which last "no more than three days," and falls at the height of their beauty. But, if samurais are like cherry-blossons, then the fragile women on feudal era should be compared with flowers that blows covered in snow, occulted, submiss and dying little by little, as the ones they love lived no long. hope ya like it, for I made this work with all I had, and it still means a lot for me^^ |
